Congratulations to the Winner of The RSPE Pro Tools 12 Contest

Congratulations to Sean Andrews, an Ontario, Canada based mixer/engineer/producer currently writes music for TV, film and other artists. Sean is the winner of the RSPE Audio's Avid Pro Tools 12 Giveaway. He says…

“I am extremely excited and grateful to have won Pro Tools 12! 12.3’s new features including track commit and midi render is a really great step forward for guys like me who use a lot of plugins and VI’s. I am bit of a DAW aficionado, having explored almost all on the market, I love diving into a new piece of software and discovering its features/abilities and then integrating them into my creativity. I think Pro Tools 12 will give me a huge upgrade in my abilities to collaborate with others and adopt industry standard work flows.”

Sean started playing guitar in bands right around the time that computer based recording was becoming mainstream. As a means of laying down ideas for his band, He got a copy of Cool Edit Pro and fell deep into the rabbit hole. From there Sean went to school for record engineering and landed a job working with a successful songwriter/performer as his assistant, engineer and co-writer.
Together they write songs for TV, film, other artists, as well as for his own records.

“I currently wear many hats, jumping between songwriting and engineering, all the way to doing graphic design and video editing. However, in the long run I hope to build on that foundation and focus solely on songwriting and producing.”

RSPE has more giveaways coming soon. Be sure to follow RSPE on facebook and twitter and be the first to know!

Studio Tour : Emmy Winner Paula Fairfield's Dolby Atmos Studio

Emmy Award Winning Sound Designer Paula Fairfield is most famous for her work on the hit HBO show, “Game Of Thrones". The heart of Paula’s studio is the Avid Pro Tools S6 control surface and Colin Broad PD3 / A-Mon monitoring system that controls her HDX system. For Dolby Atmos monitoring, RSPE incorporated a JBL LSR system housed in the ASC AttackWall for Immersive Sound.
